First off, we need to understand how the picture gets onto our screen in the first place, which is via signalling from the laptop's main logic board (or motherboard) in the base of the machine under the keyboard. Here the image you see on your screen is generated by the Video controller installed in your machine. The video controller, a bit like a USB hub, has several outputs for the image signal, these are called HDMI, VGA
This is a rather complex question with there being over 90 thousand screen models on our website, however there are some brands that tend to be more upgradeable than others, those being DELL, Lenovo and Clevo. Those machines fitted with a 15.6" 30 PIN display running at HD resolution can benefit from this IPS upgrade B156HAN01 which is an AVHA screen offering even better quality than a standard IPS panel. The B156HAN01 is compatible with LP156WF4 (SP)(B1).
Whilst the upgrade from TN to IPS would not be an issue here, the resolution upgrade could be a problem. Most laptops will run at FULL HD on an external screen via the HDMI or VGA ports to an external screen or projector, but only some will be able to run at FULL HD on an internal display via the EDP or LVDS ports the screen is connected to.
This is a question we receive a lot here at lcds4less.co.uk and generally the answer we have always given people is that you should not try to upgrade your screen resolution, but what about upgrading the technology from TN to IPS?
The technology used in TN panels or IPS panels is separate to compatibility in that the two are interchangeable. You could swap a standard TN panel for an IPS panel provided that there is a compatible upgrade model available.
The product arrived a day before it was scheduled to and was exactly how I expected it. Got it installed in the computer and looks just like the factory screen did, excellent quality for the price! I'll be ordering from them if I ever need a new screen!

Great screen! Taking out the old and putting in the new was easy. Only issue I had was the first time I connected the cable is that the backlight didn't come on. I thought the screen simply wasn't working (then I saw from the corner the screen was on, but no light). Disconnected, and reconnected and it worked great (perhaps I didn't have the cable completely in).

I dropped my laptop and hosed up the creen. Being that I had lots of stuff on it, I was hoping to fix it. Well, low and behold, I found this seller and this item and the new screen is a perfect fit. I did pull out the old screen and make sure I ordered the right one based on the numbers on the old screen. It took about 10 minutes to install.

My daughter cracked her laptop screen and I thought that we would have to throw it away. Someone recommended buying a new screen and we looked around and this was the cheapest. Get instructions on how to install and this will be super easy.
